Sign Made Easy Release Notes: August '26 v1.23

Overview

In the latest version of Sign Made Easy, v1.23, we have introduced exciting new features and resolved several bugs to enhance users' experience.

Here’s a summary of what’s new!

Major Feature Updates

Multi-Factor Authentication:

Enhance document security by requiring recipients to verify their identity before accessing a signature request. Organizations can choose from multiple authentication methods to ensure only authorized recipients can view and sign documents.

Supported Methods:

  • Email OTP – Verify using a one-time password sent to the recipient's email.
  • SMS OTP – Verify the recipient using a one-time password (OTP) sent via SMS. A Twilio account must be configured to use this verification method.
  • WhatsApp OTP – Verify the recipient using a one-time password (OTP) sent through WhatsApp. A Twilio account must be configured to use this verification method.

Passcode Verification:

Secure signature requests with a custom passcode. Senders can assign a unique passcode to each recipient, who must enter the correct passcode before accessing the document.

Prefill for Basic Tags:

Automatically populate supported basic tags with Salesforce record data to reduce manual entry and improve accuracy. Users can map Salesforce fields to tags while configuring a template or document.

Supported Tags:

  • Text
  • Number

Print and Sign:

Sign Made Easy now supports Print and Sign workflows, allowing organizations to collect handwritten signatures for documents that require physical signing.

Hide Transaction UUID:

Users can now choose to hide the Transaction UUID from documents sent for signature, resulting in a cleaner, more professional document appearance while maintaining transaction tracking within the system.

Enhancement

Increased Recipients & Documents per Transaction:

Sign Made Easy now supports larger signing workflows by increasing the maximum number of documents and recipients that can be included in a single transaction.

New Limits:

  • Up to 10 Documents per transaction
  • Up to 10 Recipients (Signers) per transaction

Bugs Fixes

Known Issue:

The selected value for Checkbox and Radio Button fields is not reflected in the completed document. Instead, the configured default value is displayed after signing.

Fixed:

Resolved an issue where the completed document displayed the default value instead of the recipient's selected value for Checkbox and Radio Button fields. The completed document now correctly reflects the values selected during signing.

Known Issue:

Default Value and Read-Only were not working correctly for Text, Number, and Dropdown form fields.

Fixed:

Fixed the Default Value and Read-Only functionality for Text, Number, and Dropdown form fields

Important Note / Warning

Before upgrading to this release, ensure that all pending signing transactions are completed.

Warning: If you are upgrading from a version earlier than v1.22.10, the Notify User and Enable Document Cloning features may not work as expected for transactions that were created before the upgrade and are still pending. These features are fully supported when upgrading from v1.22.10 or later

We recommend completing all pending transactions prior to performing the upgrade.

If you are currently on the Pro plan, please contact the Support team before upgrading your package to ensure a smooth transition and avoid any potential service disruptions.

Note: If you are upgrading from v1.21.9 or an earlier version, you must reconfigure the Sign Made Easy app and click the Sync to V2 button after completing the upgrade.
