A detailed reference for configuring, managing, and utilizing basic tags in the e-signature process
Basic Tag Configuration
- Administrators can specify and control basic tag behaviors used in documents for e-signature and associated procedures in the Basic Tag Configuration section. During the signing process, receivers must interact with or fill out tags, which serve as placeholders or fields (such as Signature, Name, and Email).
Configuration Options : The screen provides a table with the following key columns:
Tag Name
- Displays the name of the tag (e.g., Signature, Initial, Email, Company).
- Each tag corresponds to a specific data type or action.
Required
- Indicates whether the tag is mandatory.
- If checked, the recipient must complete this field before submission (e.g., Signature, Date).
Format
- Specifies the format for the tag input (e.g., MM/DD/YYYY for date, HH:MM 24-hour format for time).
- Ensures data consistency across all documents.
Syntax
- Provides the exact tag syntax code that can be used in templates.
- For example : Signature → \signature1 {"size":"medium"}\ ,
- Email → \email1 {"size":"medium"}\
A copy icon is available next to each syntax, allowing administrators to quickly copy the code for reuse.
