How to Create Custom Button

A comprehensive guide to configuring and managing custom button creation settings

Button Creation Configuration

  • After successfully completing the SME configuration, proceed to create the Sign Made Easy button. This button enables the initiation of the document sending process for electronic signatures. For more details about SME Configuration, please Click Here.



Step 1 :- Choose the object from which you want to initiate the SME process, specify the appropriate button label, and select Create Custom Button. After the button has been created, ensure it is added to the relevant page layout for user accessibility.


Step 2 :- Click the Go to Page Layout button to be redirected to the selected object page layout.


Step 3 :- Select the desired page layout where you want to add the SME button. In the Mobile & Lightning Actions section, use Quick Find to locate the button, then drag and drop it into the Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions section. Finally, click Save or Quick Save to apply the changes.



Note:- The SME button has been successfully added to the page layout. It is now available for use to initiate and send documents for electronic signature.


Step 4 :- Click the App Launcher, search for the object where the SME button was created, and open the object record to access the button.
