Detailed instructions for configuring and using multi-language features effectively
Multi-Language – This feature allows the SME application to be used in different languages, ensuring that labels, messages, and instructions are displayed in the user’s preferred language.
The following languages are supported in Sign Made Easy Application.
- Chinese (Simplified): zh_CN
- Chinese (Traditional): zh_TW
- Danish: da
- Dutch: nl_NL
- English: en
- Finnish: fi
- French: fr
- German: de
- Italian: it
- Japanese: ja
- Korean: ko
- Norwegian: no
- Portuguese (Brazil): pt_BR
- Russian: ru
- Spanish: es
- Spanish (Mexico): es_MX
- Swedish: sv
- Thai: th
Sending Emails to Recipients in Multiple Languages
- To send emails to recipients in multiple languages, you must deploy Custom Labels with translations for all required languages into your Salesforce org.
Steps to Deploy Custom Label Translations into Salesforce

Step 1:- Go to Setup In the Quick Find box and search for the Translation Workbench.
Step 2:- Click on the Translation Language setting in Salesforce and enable the required language(s) for your org. This ensures that translations can be added and used for Custom Labels, email templates, and other metadata.
Step 3: Select the language you want to enable. For example, to enable German:
- Click Edit next to the language.
- Activate the language.
- Add the current user to the Available Users list.
This allows the user to access and manage translations for the selected language.
Step 4: Once the required languages are activated, ensure that Visual Studio Code (VS Code) is installed on your system.
- If VS Code is already installed, you can skip this step.
- VS Code is required to retrieve, edit, and deploy Custom Label translations using Salesforce CLI.

Step 5: Once the installation of Visual Studio Code is complete, open the application and navigate to the Extensions tab.
- Search for Salesforce Extension Pack (Expanded).
- Click Install to add it to your VS Code environment.
Step 6:- After installing the Salesforce Extension Pack, go to View → Command Palette in VS Code.
Step 7: In the Command Palette, select Create Project with Manifest.
Step 8: After selecting Create Project with Manifest, choose the Standard.
Step 9: Enter your desired Project Name and create the project.
- After the project is created, go to View → Command Palette again.
- Select Authorize an Org to connect your VS Code project with your Salesforce org.
Step 10: Select your Org Environment, such as Production or Sandbox, during the authorization process.
Step 11: After successful authorization, navigate to force-app/main/default in your VS Code project.
- Right-click on the folder and select Reveal in File Explorer.
Step 12: Paste the Translation folder into the force-app/main/default directory of your VS Code project.
Step 13: In VS Code, locate the Translation folder on the left-side explorer panel.
- Right-click on the folder and select Deploy This Source to Org.
- This action deploys all Custom Label translations in the folder to your connected Salesforce org.
How to Send Emails to Recipients in Multiple Languages
Step 1: Open the App Launcher, search for the object where the SME button has been created, and select it to proceed. If the SME button has not been created yet, Click Here for instructions on creating the SME button.
Step 2:- Navigate to the record page of the selected object from which you intend to initiate the SME process. If no record exists, create a new one by clicking the New button before proceeding.
Step 3 :- Next, click the button you created. The Create Transaction interface will appear, allowing you to add documents and enter recipient details.
Step 4 :- Add Document and Recipients.
Step 5 :- Set Recipient Language:
- Select the language in which you want the recipient to receive the email.
- This ensures that the email content is displayed in the recipient’s preferred language.
Note: Maximum of three documents and up to five recipients can be added to each transaction record.
Step 6 :- Now, click the Send Now button to email the document directly to the recipient.
Step 7:- After the documents are sent, recipients will receive an email notification. To complete the e-signature process, they must open the email and click the View Document button.
Step 8 :- By clicking "I Agree," you confirm that you have read and reviewed the terms and conditions of Sign Made Easy through the Electronic Record and Signature Disclosure. You also consent to the use of electronic records and signatures for reviewing and executing this document .
- You can also update the recipient’s language at any time by changing the Language picklist on the Sign Document page.
- Select the desired language from the dropdown.
Step 9:- Click the Complete Sign button to finalize the signing process. Once completed, the document will be marked as fully signed. A confirmation email will be sent once all recipients have completed their signatures.
Step 10:- To view detailed transaction and recipient actions, click the 'to view the audit trail link'.
