Salesforce SME Authentication Error Resolution Guide

Error Message

 

The following error may appear while configuring the Salesforce SME connection: 

error=invalid_request&error;_description=missing%20required%20code%20challenge

 



Steps to Resolve the Error 


1. Upgrade the package to the latest version. For detailed instructions, refer to the following article: SME Release Note.

 

Production :
https://login.salesforce.com/packaging/installPackage.apexp?p0=04tIg000000LQa3

Sandbox :

https://test.salesforce.com/packaging/installPackage.apexp?p0=04tIg000000LQa3


2. Go to the Sign Setup page and click the Configure SME button using a user with the standard System Administrator profile. 


For SME Pro Users: the user who authenticated SME must have a valid license assigned if seats are enabled in their organization.


3. Test the configuration again and verify whether the issue has been resolved.

  • Test Record 
  • Button Name 
  • Organization ID
